(Not) Counting Trees

On my way to a volleyball match on Monday night, I was listening to On Point on WPR's Ideas Network. The discussion centered on the science-energy interface and whether big government investments in bio-energy are warranted and whether they'll payoff. The segment was titled, A Manhattan Project for Energy?.

In the next morning's New York Times, I sleepily read (with a sore shoulder) an article about efforts in Kansas to conserve energy: Climate change is a no go, but thrift and stewardship are in. However, behavior is changing. Full article is here.
